Coastguard is a wonderful stone built 18th Century cottage nestled in the centre of the seaside town of Seaton in East Devon. As it’s name suggests, Coastguard is only a 5 minute walk to the expansive beach which boasts blue flag bathing. It is beautifully presented and retains features such as an Arts and Crafts fireplace, and exposed stone walling. Coastal and seaside themes are expressed in the luxury fabrics used throughout Coastguard cottage, and with three sumptuous bedrooms can comfortably sleep six people.

There is ample parking for vehicles adjacent to the cottage and you can relax in the private cottage gardens using the garden furniture located in the store room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. It has full gas central heating making it an all year round getaway destination.

Seaton has many independent shops including a butcher, baker and a small vegetable shop. This year has seen the addition of a milk station where fresh local milk and other dairy products are available.

The Seaton Tramway is well worth a visit with lovely rides on open top trams along the river Axe and through wetlands to Colyton where a cream tea is not to be missed !

The cottage was built in the 1860s with several levels inside and out. It sleeps five in three bedrooms, a king size double in the main bedroom, two singles in the second bedroom and a single bed in the third. There is bed settee in the sitting room.

There is one bathroom which has a bath with an overhead electric shower and heated towel rail.

Downstairs there are three rooms. A Dual aspect sitting room, dining room and kitchen with a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven and hob.

The cottage is centrally heated and has WIFI.

Outside there is a large garden which catches the sun. There is direct private access to the cottage rear garden from the Orchard car park for which a parking permit can be obtained from East Devon for the duration of your stay. The permit allows you to use all the council car parks in East Devon, and is much cheaper, and convenient than paying at machines when you visit other seaside towns such as Sidmouth, Exmouth, Beer and Buddleigh Salterton.

The front of the cottage has pedestrian access only, along a short alley to the town centre.
